I just did three performance of Menotti's one-act opera, Amahl and the Night VisitorsThe chorus I have been training was doing a nice job and it recalled my memory of being an opera chorus long time ago. Rehearsal every evening, rushing to and fro, being so familiar with the backstage!
Even though it was a rather small-scale performance, everything was well set. Principles, chorus, dancers, reduced version of orchestra, costume, stage...
What a nice experience working with different people that they have different talents about performing art. I have been thinking that I don't have opportunities of knowing people in other professions but music, and now I got some nice people around. How blessed!
